Ductless Maintenance in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, AZ and Surrounding Areas
A Good Mini-Split Ductless Maintenance Regimen
If you have one of the newer mini-split ductless air conditioners, you probably already have a good annual or semi-annual maintenance program established. And that’s great for major ductless maintenance.
But there are a few things that you can do yourself to help extend the life of your ductless air conditioning investment. Let’s take a look at what you can do as a monthly ductless maintenance regimen.
Cleaning the Filter
One of the best habits to get into is a monthly filter cleaning. Most ductless air conditioners have removable filters that you can rinse out and reuse. Simply run some warm water and a bit of dishwashing liquid over the filter and massage the dirt and debris out. Then thoroughly rinse the filter and allow it to dry before replacing it.
Make yourself a monthly reminder and post it on the refrigerator door, along with the kid’s artwork! This one simple monthly task will keep your indoor air cool, crisp, and clean.
Check on the Outdoor Condensing Unit
Your ductless system has a separate piece that resides outdoors. That would be the condenser where all the heat from your home is expelled into the air outside. It is very important that there be absolutely no obstructions around the condensing unit so it can properly do its job. Just make sure that there are no leaves, shrubs, tree limbs from storms, or any other debris blocking the airflow across those condensing coils.
These are just a few things that you can do on a month-to-month basis to enhance the maintenance program that your professional service technician does during those larger annual or biannual maintenance programs.
And as always, the professionals at Air Fit Air Conditioning are ready to meet all of your maintenance needs. Please contact us should you have any questions about your ductless maintenance program.
